Assistant Professor

I work as an Assistant Professor at the Laboratory of Geo-Information Science and Remote Sensing since 2021. My research interests are geosimulation models (agent-based models, cellular automata), spatial statistics, error propagation methods, and spatial optimization. I mainly focus on models of land use change and urban dynamics. The main aim of my research is to better quantify the uncertainty in geosimulation and spatial optimization models.

I am a member of the editorial board of Computers & Geosciences, and the former head (until 2020) of the Geosimulation Modelling lab at the University of Münster, Germany.
