September 27, 2017 - Project - The region of El Oued turned into the largest potato production area of Algeria with two harvests per 12 months. However the current potato growing practices are not sustainable and leave much to be gained in terms of farm management practices, quality of starting material and prevention of post-harvest losses. -

For the implementation of this programme a Wageningen University & Research team with experts of Wageningen Bioveterinary Research, Wageningen Livestock Research, Wageningen Economic Research and CDI is responsible. -
Strengthening of Israeli veterinary diagnostic capacities
October 7, 2015 - Project - The objective of this EU funded project is strengthening of the legislative and professional capacities of the Israeli Veterinary Laboratories involved in diagnostic of animal diseases, food and feed analyses and epidemiologic surveys. REPROSEED: producing cheaper shellfish seed and larva

Re-thinking pasture-based ruminant systems towards a sustainable future

The role of ruminants in present and future food systems is currently highly contested, among others because of their impact on the environment and human health. This PhD will explore the potential of diverse beef and sheep pasture-based systems in Ireland to better balance the divergent sustainability issues.
