Lucie Timmermans Fund- information for applicants

The Lucie Timmermans Fund aims to support talented, recently graduated female researchers in the field of experimental zoology, entomology, animal physiology and animal cell biology of Wageningen University who are aiming for a PhD.

Activities

The fund provides support for:

  • activities which improve the chance of a research proposal being funded by another funding organisation.

  • a study trip to a foreign university or research institute for PhDs and postdocs younger than 35 years.

Activities for research proposal funding

The Lucie Timmermans Fund supports activities which improve the chance of a research proposal being funded by another funding organisation. Activities could for example be ‘the collecting of pilot data’ to strengthen a research proposal. The fund awards the chosen projects with a maximum amount of € 5.000,-.

Applications can be submitted throughout the year and must be send to University Fund Wageningen (ufw@wur.nl). Please read the application criteria carefully before sending the application in.

Study trip to a foreign university or research institute

Female PhDs and postdocs in the field of animal biology (younger than 35 years) with one stipend of max. € 2500 per year for a study trip to a foreign university or research institute. The aim of this support is to give them the opportunity to expand their network, to increase their substantive knowledge and thus to stimulate them to continue their scientific career and move on to higher positions.
