Wageningen Dialogues

Our current society is facing significant global challenges in the areas of health, energy, food, and sustainability. Opinions and interests vary widely in relation to these challenges, and they benefit from different perspectives. If we want to resolve these challenges and make room for the different opinions and interests, then a dialogue is required — one where we examine all those different perspectives together.

Why do we want dialogues?

Today's society faces major global issues in the areas of health, energy, food and sustainability. Issues on which opinions and interests differ widely and which benefit from different perspectives. If we want to find an answer to these issues and thereby accommodate all the different opinions and interests, we need dialogue. A dialogue to explore all these different perspectives together.

What can a dialogue mean?

Wageningen University & Research operates at the intersection of major social themes. As a knowledge organization it is our task to offer space to all the different perspectives. By listening to each other and getting to know each other's backgrounds, we get a better understanding of each other's point of view. In this way we arrive at new insights together for a positive impact on, with and for the world. Want to know more about what a dialogue can mean for you?

Wageningen Dialogue is the denominator under which our researchers, lecturers, students and staff members enter into dialogue with other scientists, colleagues, experts, stakeholders and society. A starting point for organizing meetings, online and on location, varying from short sessions to long-term projects and everything in between. We offer inspiration, support and connect you with the right people.
