Library support for literature searches

Information specialists from WUR Library can help you to search for literature and patents.

Individual support

If you need help to find or to use literature sources, you can directly contact the information specialist of your discipline. The specialist can help you with the following:

  • choosing the right information sources
  • using bibliographic databases
  • defining search strategies to identify relevant literature
  • doing extensive literature searches as part of a systematic review
  • setting up alerts
  • using EndNote or Mendeley
  • searching for patents

Group support

The Library also offers sessions for groups. Depending on the type of help you need, the Library offers short trainings, (software) demonstrations, or general information sessions. Group support can be tailored to a certain discipline. Think of a short workshop or demonstration focused on finding relevant literature in important databases in your field. Contact us if you are interested.

Courses and online tutorials

We also regularly organise courses and demos on specific topics, such as searching for literature and patents, citing and referencing, EndNote, and Mendeley. Check the calendar for dates and venues.

The Searching for literature page provides tips and videos on how to find scientific information.
