There are many options for getting Open Access publishing of your articles funded. Check out the latest agreements for Wageningen University & Research (WUR) with publishers for different forms of Open Access.
WUR Journal Browser
If you want to publish Open Access in a specific journal please use the WUR Journal Browser. You can browse through a collection of over 30,000 journals. Via the WUR Journal Browser you will find journal information on Open Access, Impact and discounts on article processing charges.

National agreements with publishers (‘Gold (Hybrid)’ Open Access publishing)
There are various agreements with publishers for publishing your article Open Access in subscription based journals, at no costs. In order to make use of any of these deals you need to be the corresponding author of the article. Further, you need to be affiliated with Wageningen University or Wageningen Research and indicate that in your article. You also need to select the Open Access option in the article production system of the publisher, shortly after your manuscript is accepted for publication.
For some publishers there are also agreements with discounts on publishing your article Open Access in full Open Access journals (‘Gold’ Open Access publishing).

WUR agreements for Open Access journals (‘Gold’ (Hybrid) Open Access publishing)
The Library has arranged discounts on the Article Processing Charges in journals of the following publishers:
- BioMed Central (BMC): 57% for the first or corresponding WUR author
- Cogitatio Press: 20% discount for the corresponding WUR author
- SpringerOpen (not to be confused with Springer Open Choice 'gold hybrid' subscription journals): 57% discount for the first or corresponding WUR author.
- IWA Publishing: 100% discount for WUR corresponding author.
In order to make use of these arrangements, you need to be affiliated with Wageningen University or Wageningen Research and indicate that in your article. Further, depending on the publisher, you need to be the first or corresponding author, in order to opt for discount.
