Working while studying
If you want to work alongside your studies while staying in the Netherlands, there are some things to keep in mind. Do you need a work permit when you are self-employed? How about when you do an internship? And how many hours are you allowed to work as an international student? In their flyer Working while studying in the Netherlands the Dutch Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment answers these questions and more.

Internships
Approximately 39% of our students find a job via internship or thesis, so the application is as important as applying for a job. At Wageningen University & Research you need to find an internship or thesis project yourself. The internship coordinator, study advisor, program director or Student Career Services can give you some tips and guidance.
Finding an internship can be a challenge, that depends also on your wishes and the opportunities companies currently offer. Prepare yourself by orientating on what type of work you are looking for and at what type of company. Start on time with your search. If you need help, visit the Student Career Services Desk in Forum room 010, open from Monday to Thursday from 09:00 to 16:30 or make an appointment by sending an email to studentcareerservices@wur.nl. We can check your CV, motivation letter and help searching for an internship if necessary. On our Job Board outside room 010 in Forum you can find the most recent job and internship vacancies.
