With a Dutch VWO diploma you are admittable to our bachelor's programmes, but also with other Dutch prior education you can start your education at Wageningen University & Research.
VWO diploma 'old style'
If you have a VWO diploma 'old style' with a course package, you must meet the specified VWO prerequisites in order to be admitted. For information about this, please contact the Bachelor’s Admissions Committee (BTC) through firstname.lastname@example.org or the study advisor of the degree programme that you would like to join.
HBO (Dutch higher professional education) graduates who want to start a Bachelor’s degree programme should contact the Bachelor's Admissions Committee (BTC) through email@example.com and find out whether they can receive exemptions for the admissions exams of one or more courses.
HBO graduates who start a Bachelor’s degree programme may receive exemptions for parts of the degree programme, if the HBO degree programme is related to the Wageningen Bachelor’s programme. The study advisor of the relevant degree programme can provide you with more information about this.
If you are in possession of a Bachelor’s diploma, you must pay higher tuition fees for a second Bachelor’s programme.
If you have completed your HBO propedeuse, it is possible to be admitted to the Bachelor’s degree programmes at Wageningen University, provided that you have completed certain courses at VWO level 6. The courses required at VWO level 6 for each Bachelor’s degree programme, which must be completed in addition to your HBO propedeuse, are shown in the table below.
Wageningen University offers leniency in the bachelor-before-master rule to students who - due to COVID-19 - encounter problems in the transition from their bachelor to a master's programme at Wageningen. For more information go to: Bachelor-before-master rule.
