92nd Celebration
The 92nd Dies Natalis of Wageningen University is dedicated to the role of science in crucial transition processes. The second decade of this millennium faces a large number of complex and challenging issues that – when not dealt with – may cause great societal disturbances. For instance world food production needs to be increased without depleting natural resources and poverty needs to be reduced. The transition processes needed to shape these development must take place under the shadow of climate change. Best science and policy have to go hand in hand to contribute to resolving these issues.
