The first thing you will notice when you enter the World Wide Wageningen Festival area is the trip down memory lane. You will literally walk along the ‘1918-2018 Alumni Memory Lane’ where you will be surprised by the pictures and other remembrances from your good old days of studying in Wageningen. This is also the perfect spot to reunite with old friends and roommates.
Taste development and food education (NL)
Food is exciting and interesting, but how do we transfer that to our children? Children and vegetables are not always the perfect combination. What can we do about it? The distance between production and consumption is getting bigger and bigger; how do we reduce this gap? In an entertaining session with real tasting experiments we will talk about taste development and food education (this session will be in Dutch).

The public will be challenged to explore their creativity, stereotypes are history. Living outside the box! Online WURld Dialogue
A special programme feature involves the Online WURld Dialogue in which panels, including prominent alumni and experts from Asia, South America, the USA and Europe, will discuss the topic ‘Access to healthy food in metropolises’ with the Wageningen alumni across the globe. It will include aspects such as production, population decline, logistics and waste streams (related to the circular economy) and be accessible from everywhere. As soon as the concerning link for the dialogue is known, we will share it here.
Live Cooking 'Sustainable Menu for the Future’
Live Cooking demonstration and tasting. The world-famous chef Yotam Ottolenghi has developed a recipe in which sustainability plays a major role. In his recipe, he uses ingredients that not only fit in with a balanced diet, but also with the future. A future in which 20 billion people will have to be fed in a sustainable way and within the capacity of the planet by 2050.
On 23 June the Campus will be transformed in an interactive festical with a lot of different activities. You can gen insights of the trends and developments of you university by lectures, dialogues and divers presentations. You can take a tour around Campus, enjoy live music and entertainment or take a walk down the Alumni Memory Lane. Embrace good old memories with your friends at the Meet & Greet Square or enjoy the healthy food from one of the food trucks at the Food Square.
