Bachelor's Soil, Water, Atmosphere In the bachelor's programme Soil, Water, Atmosphere you learn about hydrology, meteorology, geography and soil science. Bachelor's Animal Sciences The bachelor's programme Animal Sciences stimulates you to study and explore the biological functioning of animals in our society – animals that we care for and keep for food, as pets, for the preservation of nature or for educational and recreational purposes. How can these animals adapt to their environment, and how can we create the best possible environment for them? Answering these questions demands a fundamental understanding of the biology of domestic and captive animals, as well as knowledge about animal management and care in our society. Bachelor's International Land and Water Management Drought, erosion, floods and poor land and water management constitute major threats to food production in large parts of the world. The BSc programme International Land and Water Management addresses these problems. Students combine knowledge of engineering, environmental and social sciences, study the roles of various stakeholders involved and design land and water management improvement plans. The consequences of interventions such as dams, terracing or irrigation systems on relevant stakeholders are examined in regions spanning the entire globe: from Thailand to Ethiopia and from Peru to the Netherlands. Bachelor's Food Technology The food industry is the largest business sector in the world. Research and development of new products is important in order to maintain an effective competitive position and respond to consumer demand. The study of food technology is what supplies the knowledge for this ongoing process. Bachelor's Environmental Sciences How to ensure a healthy living environment with seven billion people on our planet? This is what the interdisciplinary bachelor's programme Environmental Sciences is about. Learn how to investigate environmental issues like pollution, climate change and depletion of natural resources from a natural and social scientific perspective, and explore innovative sustainable solutions. Bachelor of Science Tourism Tourism is an English-taught academic programme offered jointly by NHTV Breda and Wageningen University & Research. As the first of its kind in the Netherlands, this scientific programme deals with developments in tourism and the interrelationships between tourism, the economy, society and the environment. You will learn how to study tourism from different scientific perspectives. After graduation, you can apply your knowledge to the sustainable development of tourism, or continue your education with a master's programme.
