Bachelor of Science Tourism

Tourism is an English-taught academic programme offered jointly by NHTV Breda and Wageningen University & Research. As the first of its kind in the Netherlands, this scientific programme deals with developments in tourism and the interrelationships between tourism, the economy, society and the environment. You will learn how to study tourism from different scientific perspectives. After graduation, you can apply your knowledge to the sustainable development of tourism, or continue your education with a master's programme.

Programme structure: Tourism

The first two years of the programme take place at NHTV in Breda. The third year takes place in Wageningen. What are the unique programme aspects?

  • Interdisciplinary study of tourism combining social, economic and environmental sciences.
  • Joint academic degree of WUR and NHTV Breda.
  • Conclusion of the second year with an international field project in South-East Asia, Africa or Latin America.
