Water Resources Management
The Water Resources Management (WRM) group is engaged in interdisciplinary research and education at the intersection of water, technology and society. We study integrated water resources management and governance questions around the world, focusing on how technological choices, socio-ecological dynamics and cultural-political processes produce specific patterns of water use and allocation.
Education
In teaching organised by the WRM group, agricultural water management, water governance and political ecology of water are central. Our courses and thesis opportunities reflect the socio-technical approach of the WRM group.
Education Highlight
In Period 2, WRM teaches the course Environmental Justice (WRM51806). The course focuses on unpacking conflicting interests, unequal power relations, and diverging views on what ‘development’ should look like.
