Research of the Laboratory of Nematology is focused on the interactions between nematodes and (a)biotic environmental factors. The goal is to develop methodologies and strategies for durable plant parasitic nematode control with a minimal negative impact on the environment.

An international panel of scientists has reviewed the quality of the research of the Laboratory of Nematology. These peer reviews are carried out every five years and are aimed at evaluating the quality of research at Dutch universities.
