    According to the Times Higher Eduction (THE) World University Rankings, Wageningen University & Research (WUR) is the best Dutch university. WUR is the best Dutch university in the ranking for the fourth year in a row. The prestigious international ranking, lists WUR at place 59.

    QS Rankings: WUR remains top university
    Wageningen University & Research is this year in 124th place in the prestigious QS World University Rankings. WUR is down 1 place compared to last year, but has increased 26 places over the past 10 years. With the 124th place, WUR belongs to the top 10 percent of the best universities worldwide.

    THE Impact Ranking: WUR rises to 65th place
    Wageningen University & Research (WUR) moved up to the 65th place in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Ranking. This annual ranking assesses how organisations across the globe score with regard to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that were formulated in 2015. This year, the THE ranked over 1400 universities from all over the world according to their contribution to the SDGs.

    WUR is best agricultural university in the world for seventh consecutive time
    The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2022 were released on April 6. The influential ranking shows that Wageningen University & Research is the best agricultural university in the world for the seventh time in a row. Environmental sciences also scores a place in the top 10; WUR ends up in fifth place there.

    WUR world’s most sustainable university for fifth consecutive time
    Wageningen University & Research (WUR) is once again ranked the most sustainable university in the world in the 2021 GreenMetric ranking of the Universitas Indonesia (UI). This ranking compares universities’ sustainability in relation to their energy use, climate, waste, transportation, water, biodiversity and infrastructure. Sustainability in education and research is also measured. This year, extra attention was paid to the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the universities’ sustainability policies.

    THE Impact ranking: WUR scores high on climate and fighting hunger
    Wageningen University & Research (WUR) ranks among the top 300 universities in the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking of 2021. This is the first time WUR participates in the ranking, in which over 1000 universities from across the globe are ranked according to their contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

    The Dutch Research Council (NWO) has awarded seven experienced Wageningen researchers a Vidi grant worth 800,000 euros. The grant enables them to develop their own innovative line of research and set up their own research group in the coming five years. Never before so many Vidi grants have landed in Wageningen.
