More information
The Louise O. Fresco Fund was founded in honor of former chair of the Executive Board of WUR, Louise O. Fresco. The fund supports current WUR students of all disciplines and nationalities who still have a short period to go in order to graduate or obtain a PhD and find themselves in financial difficulties due to special circumstances or circumstances beyond their control. In addition, the fund supports academically trained refugees without status in taking a number of courses at WUR through the WURth-while programme.
"The students and young researchers form the heart of the university. They are the new generation in our field who can make a difference. We need all the talents to work on the big issues of our time. I like to support young motivated people who need something extra. Anyone who has studied at Wageningen University & Research is forever part of the involved WUR community, and I am happy to contribute to that myself." - Louise O. Fresco
