With donor support, we foster entrepreneurship within Wageningen University & Research. Our young entrepreneurs use their Wageningen knowledge to find answers to societal problems. We help launch and develop more initiatives in the agri-food sector—from idea to working prototype. We help impact-driven startups find alternative revenue models and enable promising startups to incubate faster.

Wageningen Impact Catalyst

The Wageningen Impact Catalyst provides financial support, knowledge and guidance to promote entrepreneurship within Wageningen University & Research (WUR). In this way, innovative ideas are nurtured and accelerated into successful businesses and social initiatives that address global challenges in food, agriculture and the living environment.

Wageningen Entrepreneurship Grant

The Wageningen Entrepreneurship Grant supports student entrepreneurs with impactful ideas. Every year, three prizes are awarded under the grant: two Start-Up Awards, for commercially promising sustainable initiatives, and a public award for an impact-driven initiative.

Feike Sijbesma Sustainable Innovation Award

The Feike Sijbesma Sustainable Innovation Award is an incentive award for innovative entrepreneurs (<7 years) with a focus on scalable sustainable climate-proof food systems with a positive impact on society and the environment. Candidates for the Feike Sijbesma Sustainable Innovation Award have proven science-based solutions that can make an important contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and provide an answer to the global climate and food security issues we face.
