To avoid plagiarism, you need to cite and reference the sources you use in your writing. During this workshop, we’ll discuss how to cite and reference properly, and give you tips on how to do it effectively.

Recommended for Bachelor's and Master's WUR students writing an essay, a report, or a thesis.

Content

During this workshop, we’ll discuss the following citing and referencing issues:

  • why, what and when to cite;
  • ways to cite (paraphrasing, summarising, quoting);
  • in-text citations and reference lists;
  • style selection;
  • citing and referencing images; and
  • reference managers.

Note: this workshop is not a demo of EndNote. If you are interested in learning how EndNote works, please join our Getting to know EndNote, demonstration session.

We highly recommend this workshop for bachelor’s and master’s students working on an essay, report, or thesis.
