To avoid plagiarism, you need to cite and reference the sources you use in your writing. During this workshop, we’ll discuss how to cite and reference properly, and give you tips on how to do it effectively.
Recommended for Bachelor's and Master's WUR students writing an essay, a report, or a thesis.
Content
During this workshop, we’ll discuss the following citing and referencing issues:
- why, what and when to cite;
- ways to cite (paraphrasing, summarising, quoting);
- in-text citations and reference lists;
- style selection;
- citing and referencing images; and
- reference managers.

We highly recommend this workshop for bachelor’s and master’s students working on an essay, report, or thesis.
Registration
The session is held in English and takes place on campus. Only students with a WUR account can join the session. There's no need to register, but please be on time.
