Summary

The studies presented in this thesis primarily focus on flaviviruses that pose a threat to poultry. We aimed to characterize the transmission routes and pathogenicity of newly emerging Tembusu viruses in poultry, investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying outbreaks and host adaptation, and develop an effective vaccine platform to prepare for potential future epizootics of flavivirus in poultry.
