NEW! Studium Generale Reflection programme

We are looking for alumni to join a workshop of Studium Generale and want to have informal conversations with master students in their study field. Share your professional and personal experience with the new generation of master students. Your path is valuable for them!

What does it entail?

Information

During the workshop, you will engage in conversation with small groups of master’s students about your professional and personal experiences. These discussions do not focus on standard career advice, tips and tricks, or success stories. Instead, the focus is on the unique choices, surprises, coincidences, ups and downs, and everything else that shapes a real person's career in the real world.

Details:

  • Discussions take place with small groups of master’s students (approx. 8) in your field of study
  • You participate in one evening (Monday or Tuesday; see schedule below)
  • No preparation is required; you simply give a brief, informal verbal overview of your career
  • An online briefing session (max. 30 minutes) will be organised at a time that suits you
  • Studium Generale will make a selection to ensure a diverse range of alumni backgrounds
  • The discussions are held in English
  • Travel expenses to Wageningen are reimbursed (within the Netherlands)
  • You will receive a nice WUR memento

What are we looking for?

For the 2026-2027 academic year, we are looking for alumni:

  • Who are comfortable to speak openly about their personal experiences since graduation—both as professionals and as individuals, including unique choices, surprises, opportunities as well as successes and setbacks
  •  Holding a WUR master’s degree (or equivalent) from one of the offered studies (see schedule Planning and Studies below)
  • With 4 to 15 years of experience
  • Currently working in the Netherlands
  • Optional: with an international background (born and attended secondary school abroad)
