Thematic discussion: what does the future look like for young farmers?

In short
Activity- Wednesday 4 February 2026
- 20.00 - 22.05 hrs
- Omnia, Wageningen Campus
Young, starting farmers face many challenges. We are confronted with difficult choices: how do we balance economic, political, social and ecological interests? And how do we provide young farmers with the means to tackle these challenges?
This is not just a Dutch story, but a European one too. How are European objectives translated to the local level? What impact does European agricultural policy actually have on our farmers? What perspective can Europe offer them? And how can young farmers be supported in their transition towards sustainability?
Come and join the conversation!
This themed discussion will take place on Wednesday, 4 February at Omnia, Wageningen Campus (Dutch spoken). The event is free of charge.
