Wanted: host venues for alumni activities and career-oriented events

A strong connection with the field is essential to keep alumni involved in the Wageningen domain and their alma mater. Think of facilitating regional circle meetings, internships, or career events. Therefore, we are looking for alumni working at companies, NGOs, research institutes or governments who are open to cooperation.

For the academic year 2025-2026, we are looking for partners in the Netherlands for various projects we are developing from team Alumni Relations. As a host:

• You have sufficient space to welcome 40-80 people
• You work in a company that fits the Wageningen knowledge domain
• You are interested in networking
• You like to come into contact with (new) Wageningen talent

Regional alumni meetings
During these meetings, we bring together recent WUR research and alumni in your region. Together with the regional alumni committees, we coordinate theme and content and support the organisation. Language of communication: mostly Dutch.

Internationally oriented meetings
May 2025 saw the launch of the 4TU.Alumni Network NL, a collaboration between TU/e, TU Delft, UTwente and WUR. This network focuses specifically on international alumni pursuing careers in the Netherlands. For them, we look for companies with an international focus (in terms of staff or operations). Language of communication: mostly English.

Internships for international students in the Netherlands
Do you have or do you know a company that can offer an academically relevant internship for international 2nd year Master students for a period of 4-6 months? Share your opportunities and help us give motivated top talent a chance. Students start their internship in spring or autumn. Language of communication: English.

Career-oriented events
Help young alumni and recent graduates with their first career steps. We are looking for:

• Alumni at companies with an HR focus on and with experience in mentoring young professionals
• Companies willing to tell something about inflow, work culture and career opportunities
• Organisations offering internships, possibly in cooperation with Student Career Services of WUR
• Language: Dutch or English, depending on target group

• You offer students and alumni valuable insights while making direct contact with future talent. It is a great way to profile and present your organisation to a motivated network of (international) WUR and 4TU alumni.
• As a host, your company gets a direct connection to the network of Wageningen alumni (68,000+) and graduating students as potential future employees or business partners.
• Finally, it is a great way to contribute to the substantive and social dialogue that strengthens the ties between (WUR) science, practice and society.
