Education of Information Technology

We offer a variety of courses at BSc and MSc level that are taken by students from all study programmes of Wageningen University & Research. The courses are aligned to our overall objective for realizing smart engineering of socio-technical systems. In parallel with our courses we offer interesting MSc and BSc thesis assignments. Further, we have an active PhD programme in which research is carried out in close collaboration with the life sciences application domains.

Thesis and internship

Thesis and internship

In general, our thesis and internship topics cover a broader spectrum than what is offered within courses. For questions concerning our theses and internships, please contact our thesis coordinator Noor Hilbers or internship coordinator Sander Breevaart.

Forms

Before you start an internship or an MSc-thesis, you and your supervisor(s) make a formal agreement for the benefit (and protection) of all parties involved. All the thesis and internship forms are available on our Brightspace: Information Technology: MSc Thesis and Internships.

Afterwards, also the assessment-of-internship or thesis is formalised.

Hybrid/on-campus education

Hybrid/on-campus education

The default option for lectures, practicals and working groups is on-campus education. Lectures may be recorded if lecture rooms are equipped for that purpose, but this is not guaranteed, because technology sometimes fails. Moreover, lecturers decide whether recording lectures is useful from an educational perspective.

Alternatively lectures, practicals and working groups may be given online if that is useful from an educational perspective. Hybrid options where teacher(s) interact with students both online and offline in parallel are usually not provided.
