Development Economics

The mission of the Development Economics group is to contribute to an improved understanding of the processes of sustainable development, institutions, conflict and poverty alleviation. To this end, we select teaching material and focus on research that can shed light on the dynamics of factor productivity and resource use in developing countries.

Education by Development Economics
The Development Economics Group participates in a number of study programmes and specialisations at Wageningen University & Research at both the undergraduate (BSc) and the graduate level (MSc) as well as at the PhD level.
Publications & Projects
The research of the Development Economics Group focuses on the nature of institutions, drivers of institutional change, and implications of institutional change for poverty alleviation and sustainable economic development.
