This Lighthouse Farm Lab shows how large-scale farming systems can harness data, technology and digital traceability to build confidence in supply chains and to ensure sustainability.

Programme

During the Lab, you will:

  • Visit large-scale organic arable farming operations that create and implement digital tools
  • Understand how we can use new technology and data to reduce our reliance on chemical inputs (and see how sustainability can really reach scale)
  • Explore data systems for soil, input use, climate stress and crop monitoring
  • Analyse real traceability models linked to international commodity markets
  • Meet supply-chain actors involved in risk management and investment
  • Work in teams on a challenge centred on "using data to redesign trust"
  • Formulate your own data-informed action plan

Before joining the Lab, you must complete the online learning modules to build a shared foundation. These modules provide essential concepts, farmer insights and system-thinking tools that prepare you to fully engage in the real-world learning experience at the Lab.
