SWU Thymos

SWU Thymos

SWU Thymos is Wageningen University's sports association and represents the interests of all student athletes in Wageningen. It is a student-run organisation consisting of six students. The association's goal is to get as many students as possible active and involved in sports. It does this by acting as an umbrella organisation for all student sports clubs and by organising various events.

Student sports associations
Wageningen University has 32 different student sports associations (SSVs). In addition to training sessions, these clubs also organise social activities and are a great place to meet people with similar interests. In addition to these clubs, SWU Thymos promotes various recognised clubs (ESVs) that are not exclusively for students. Membership of these clubs is subsidised by SWU Thymos. WUR alumni can remain members of an SSV for up to five years after graduation. You will need alumni sports rights for as long as you remain a member of the association.

Recognised sports associations
In and around Wageningen, there are sports associations that offer sports that the SCB does not offer. To support a wide range of sports, SWU Thymos promotes these associations among students and offers subsidies to reduce membership fees.
