Find your ideal study spot in Forum Library
From group study rooms for collaborative projects to comfortable study pods for individual focus, the Library offers a broad variety of study places to meet your needs. Let’s have a quick look at the different study places in the Forum Library.
Choose your spot, depending on your need or task.
On the 3rd and 4th floor, you can find 110 study places with a monitor. The 3rd floor also has some high tables with 10 bar stools. These tables are handy if you need to use atlases or other large materials. The 2nd floor has height-adjustable sit-standing tables. Twenty study places on the 2nd floor are equipped with a desktop computer.
Individual places
In the Library, you can find 615 individual study places with height-adjustable chairs. Places across the open globe are the most popular, so you have to be on time when you want one of those. The study places on the 4th floor need to be reserved in TimeEdit. All other study places are walk-ins.
Group study rooms
The four group study rooms are perfect for working together on a project or assignment. Unfortunately, you can't reserve the group rooms. Use is on a first-come, first-served basis. Because the Library is often full during the self-study and exam weeks, the group rooms at these times may only be used for individual study. You can find the group study rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors in the corners of the building.
Laptop seats and focus pods
Throughout the Library, you'll find benches with small tables for your laptop. While not ideal for long cramming sessions, they are handy when you require a spot to study for a short bit, for example, between classes.
For extra focus & comfort, you can use one of the two focus pods on the 3rd and 4th floor.
Time to relax
On the 2nd floor, we’ve set up a relaxing corner with beanbags. This area also has a reading table where you can read newspapers or magazines, play chess table or find free novels at the book swap.
