Find & review literature

When you start your research, you often begin with a literature search, mapping out what has already been done on your topic in a literature review.

Our information specialists can guide you on:

  • Choosing the right databases to find literature relevant to your topic.
  • Collecting effective search terms to capture the most useful results.
  • Translating your research question into a search profile that works across multiple databases.
  • Exporting and managing your citations efficiently for your review.

Manage your data

The Library's Research Data Management (RDM) support team is here to help you make the most of your research data. After all, your data is the gold of your research, it’s valuable and deserves to be handled with care. We can help you organise, manage, and curate your data so it’s FAIR, Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable, and well preserved for the future. Whether you have questions about storage, data sharing, or legal aspects, our team of data librarians, IT specialists, and consultants is ready to support you.

Academic visibility & profile

Your research deserves to be seen. The team helps you enhance your academic visibility and profile by turning data into actionable insights. We register your output in Pure, WUR's Current Research Information system (CRIS), making it available in Research@WUR. We can help you set up your WUR author profiles and other author identifiers and engage in the associated academic networks.

Share & publish

Today's publishing landscape is changing. Open Science and societal impact matter more than ever, and alternative digital platforms such as preprint servers give researchers new ways to share their work. The Library helps researchers develop publication strategies. that increase their visibility and strengthen the impact of their research.

We can help you choose the right platforms, understand licensing and copyright, and ensure your work meets funder requirements. The WUR Journal Browserhelps WUR authors find open access journals and check for free or discounted publishing options.
