Would you like to know what it feels like to work, study or live on the Wageningen Campus? Do you want to learn more about Wageningen University & Research? Or do you want to take a look inside the educational building Forum or the greenhouses of Unifarm? Students of Wageningen University & Research, who have been trained as campus tour guides, offer several types of tours around campus!
Between 18 December 2025 and 4 January 2026, there will be no guided tours and the Campus Tour Office will be closed.
From 5 January 2026, we will be launching a pilot scheme to offer the option of adding a mini lecture by biologist Dick Vreugdenhil to a Campus Tour. You can read more about this tour in the overview below.

Tours
Campus Tour
The Campus Tour gives (future) students, employees or other interested people a good impression of the Wageningen Campus.
The Campus Tour gives you a good impression of Wageningen University & Research, its origin and Campus as well as what it is like to work and study in Wageningen. The tour also provides you information about the different facilities, businesses, special places and art at our campus.
The Campus Tour is a tour across the campus given by students that have been trained as Campus Tour guides. During this tour no buildings will be entered except the educational building Forum (also open on Saturdays), and the ground floor of the educational building Orion, where you can take a look around. The Campus Tour lasts approximately 1 hour and the starting point is at the reception of the Atlas building. Per campus guide 12 people can join a campus tour and the tour can be given in Dutch or English.

Unifarm Tour
The Unifarm Tour is a tour in the greenhouses of Unifarm, given by students who have been trained as Unifarm tour guide. The Unifarm Tour guides follow a study in the direction of nature and plants themselves. The Unifarm Tour lasts approximately 1 hour, starting point is the reception of Unifarm. In the greenhouses alternating set-ups and experiments are conducted, for example experiments that research different kinds of light, pest control, soil fertilization and plant breeding. During a large part of the year also the tropical greenhouse can be visited.
The Unifarm Tour is given by students that give campus tours regularly and can share their own experiences as student of Wageningen University with participants as well. The Unifarm Tour can be given in Dutch or in English.
Unifarm can only be visited during office hours.

NPEC-tour
It is now also possible to book a tour in the very new NPEC (Dutch Plant Eco-Phenotyping Centre) greenhouse of Unifarm.
The NPEC Tour is a tour through the NPEC greenhouse, one of the newest greenhouses of Unifarm. In this greenhouse a lot of technology can be found that enables fast and easy analyses of plants. This project is a collaboration with the University of Utrecht and NWO (Dutch Organisation for Scientific Reearch), to encourage scientific research in the Netherlands.
Many different kinds of research take place in this greenhouse, for example on tomatoes, quinoa or potatoes. The NPEC Tour is given by students that give campus tours regularly and can share their own experiences as student of Wageningen University with participants as well. A tour at NPEC lasts approximately 45 minutes. The starting point is the reception of Unifarm.
NPEC can only be visited during office hours.

Forum Tour
The Forum Tour is a tour in educational building Forum. This educational building with 7 floors has a top floor from which you have a beautiful view over the campus and the surrounding valley. If possible the library will be visited, but this is only possible during self-study or exam weeks.
The Forum Tour lasts approximately 1 hour. The Forum Tour will be given by students that have been trained for this and who can share their own experiences of studying at Wageningen University. The starting point is the reception of Forum. The Forum Tour can be given in Dutch or English.

Campus Tour for Prospective students
The Campus Tour for prospective student is given by students from Wageningen University. This tour of our green Campus takes about one hour. During the tour, the guide will take you to the education buildings, Forum, Orion and Aurora with the library in Forum. Your guide will tell you about her/his own experiences with education at Wageningen University and the Campus experience.
Of course, they can also tell you what it is like to live and go out in Wageningen and if you are interested in sports, you can also visit our sports centre De Bongerd. If you have any questions, be sure to ask your guide. (It is also possible to do this tour together with your parent(s). It is also possible to combine your visit with an appointment with a study advisor.
If weather code yellow, orange or red has been issued for the Wageningen region, the Campus Tour organisation may cancel the Campus Tour for the safety of the guide and participants.

Campus Tour + mini lecture plant physiology
From 5 January 2026, we will be launching a pilot scheme to offer the option of adding a mini lecture by biologist Dick Vreugdenhil to a Campus Tour.
Duration: 45 minutes
- Cost*: € 45,00 (including donation to the Wageningen University Fund, excluding room hire)
- Subject: Mini lecture on plant physiology
- Target group: Associations, Rotary clubs, private individuals, students, school pupils and alumni Language: Dutch and English
- Location**: On campus
- Number of participants: Minimum 5, maximum 50
- Conditions: Can only be booked in combination with a Campus Tour
- Availability depends on our biologist and a room on campus
Mini lecture by Dick Vreugdenhil (biologist) on plant physiology: How plants function, including processes such as photosynthesis, respiration, water management and growth, and how they respond to environmental factors such as light, temperature and water.
* Room hire depends on the location booked
**Temporary offer: when booking a room in Omnia and lunch in the Novum restaurant, no room hire will be charged. (minimum 5 participants - maximum 30 participants)
