Biography

Biography

I work in Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment (LCSA), a holistic approach that combines environmental, social and economic sustainability through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Social Life Cycle Assessment (S-LCA), and Life Cycle Costing (LCC).

My specialisation is in S-LCA, where I support companies in the agri-food sector in mapping social risks and opportunities in their production chains. This includes important themes such as working conditions, animal welfare, impacts on the local community, and child labor. These insights help companies to make responsible choices and maximize social benefits within their chains.

In addition to this support, I work on methodological aspects in research projects to further improve the S-LCA method for application in agrifood sectors, such as livestock farming. This includes analyzing key social impacts in the sector, weighing different indicators, and integrating data from various stakeholders. These research efforts contribute to a more robust and reliable application of the S-LCA method in the agri-food sector, with which I contribute to an even more effective use of social sustainability in this sector.
