Biography
My research interests lie at the intersection of climate change, ecosystem resilience, and land and forest management. I am particularly interested in how climate-related hazards, including wildfire, drought, and other disturbances, affect landscapes and how management can reduce risks while supporting biodiversity, ecosystem services, and climate resilience. I use spatial analysis, modelling, and scenario approaches to explore how environmental and societal changes may shape future landscapes, and increasingly combine these approaches with stakeholder knowledge and decision-making to identify management strategies that are both effective and feasible in different contexts. My research experience spans Europe and the United States, as well as professional work in Central and West Africa, and I am interested in how climate and land-management challenges and solutions vary across geographic, ecological, and social contexts. I am particularly interested in research that connects spatially explicit environmental evidence, future scenarios, and the perspectives of land and forest managers to support more resilient landscapes and inform policy and practice.
