Biography
The effects of biomass harvest on nutrient budgets, productivity, and resilience of production forests on poor sandy soils are unknown. Science-based guidelines with respect to silvicultural systems, cutting methods and soil treatments are trivial for the sustainable management of production forests. Within this context, the aim of my work is to provide these guidelines based on a unique large-scale forest experiment.
Besides the effect of management regarding nutrient budgets and the resulting consequence for the sustainability and resilience of production forest, I am also interested in research within the fields of ecology, forest ecology, tree architecture, and anatomy.
