dr. AM (Ana) Lopez Contreras

Ana M. López Contreras (Dr.) (F) is a senior scientist at WFBR. She is an expert on the production of fuels and chemicals by fermentation of biomass resources and has participated  in several projects on bioalcohol production, including Isobutanol Platform Rotterdam (IBPR, 2012-2015), MACROFUELS (2016-2019), BIOCORE (2010-2014) and SEABIOPLAS (2013-2015), and several  Dutch national projects (TKI-BBEG BioJetFuel, TKI- Small scale biorefinery). She has published  >20 peer-reviewed scientific articles, 4 book chapters and many reports on biotechnology for fuel and chemical production. She has directed 3 PhD thesis and  currently supervises 2 PhD students. She is a regular reviewer for high impact factor journals in her field.
