dr. C (Camilla) Terenzi, PhD
Biography
Camilla Terenzi is Associate Professor at the Laboratory of Biophysics at Wageningen University and Research. She has a background in physics, physical chemistry and bio-materials science. Her expertise is in the development and application of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) techniques to understand molecular-scale processes and to characterize microscopic structures in porous media, bio-based materials, food science and soft matter systems. Her research team focuses on in situ translations of state-of-the-art NMR/MRI laboratory measurement techniques and related platforms for studying heterogeneous food/soft matter systems under application-relevant dynamic conditions. Current research interests include: imaging flow of particulate fluids or structure formation in sustainable protein networks during high-moisture extrusion; mapping self-healing properties of supramolecular networks after mechanical deformation; monitoring protein digestion in vitro and in vivo.
