dr. CM (Carla) Araya Cloutier

Dr. Carla Araya-Cloutier is the leader of the multidisciplinary Plant Bioactives group within the Laboratory of Food Chemistry. She is passionate about plant defence responses against microbes and how plant-derived antimicrobials can help improve food safety and combat antimicrobial resistance. In her research and education she combines phyto- and food chemistry, microbiology and molecular modelling approaches.
