dr. GHP (Gertie) Arts

Dr. Gertie H.P. Arts studied Biology at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. She is Doctor in the Natural Sciences. She works at Wageningen Environmental Research as a senior ecologist and ecotoxicologist in the Environmental Risk Assessment team. She is involved in ecological and ecotoxicological studies and risk assesment for organic contaminants,  especially aquatic macrophyte ecology and ecotoxicology. In 2019 she was president of SETAC World Council. From 2019 - 2021 she was member of the Executive Committee of SETAC World Council. From May 2015 - May 2016 she was president of SETAC Europe, chaired the SETAC Europe Council and was member of SETAC World.
