Researcher - Spray Emissions Modeling - Precision Agriculture focus

Biography

Biography

My current research focuses on modelling emissions of crop protection agents in relation to spray technology and environmental assessment. I am particularly interested in understanding temporal and spatial variability of spray deposition on plants and non-target areas (such as water, soil, operator, bystander and residents), and optimizing systems to produce food in harmony with nature.

Before joining WUR, I worked for four years as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences, Utrecht University (2021-2025). I was mainly responsible for data analysis in antimicrobial resistance related projects and supervising students. I have a veterinary epidemiology background with experience in conducting research using classical and modern statistical methods. I did my PhD studies at the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and received the doctoral degree in December 2020. My dissertation focused on the source attribution of Toxoplasma gondii infection by using quantitative microbial risk assessment models.
