Biography
Iris van Damme is a researcher at Wageningen University & Research (WUR) in the field of human nutrition and health. Her work focuses on improving diet quality in the prevention and management of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, with particular attention to translating dietary guidelines into practical, personalized advice. She studied Nutrition and Health at Wageningen University and completed part of her education at the Karolinska Institutet in Sweden. Iris van Damme obtained her PhD in 2025, researching how dietary recommendations can better fit patients’ daily lives and support long-term health outcomes.
