I find much satisfaction in optimization of microbiological processes. During my PhD in Microbiology I developed my current passion for industrial scaled microbial processes and specifically the optimization of these processes. This has led me to work in a number of fields that all have in common that these focus on the use of industrial scale microbial processes that are used for commercial purposes ranging from setting up a novel method for optimization of probiotic production processes to biochemical production using bacteria, yeasts and algae. Currently I assist companies in optimization of their microbial processes as an Expertise Leader of the Microbial Cell Factory Team.
