Biography

Machiel Reinders (PhD) is senior researcher Consumer Behaviour and Marketing at Wageningen University and Research, Wageningen Economic Research, The Netherlands. He coordinates and conducts (international) consumer research projects and has the role of senior scientist Consumer & Food within the organisation. His research focuses on consumer behaviour with regard to sustainable and healthy food products and consumer response to food innovations and new technologies. He has published his work extensively in international peer-reviewed journals like Food Quality and Preference, International Journal of Behavioural Nutrition and Physical Activity, Trends in Food Science and Technology, Journal of Cleaner Production and Journal of Environmental Psychology.
