Biography
Biography
I am a marine ecologist specializing in food webs and biodiversity of artificial hard substrates in the North Sea. I am experienced in performing stable isotope analysis and examining feeding preferences of macroinvertebrates and fish species. Furthermore, I study the macrofaunal biodiversity and functionality (with the use of biological trait analysis) occurring on different artificial structures, such as floating solar panels and scour protection layers. Recently, I started working on the effects of different types of aquaculture (mussel and seaweed) on the marine ecosystem.
