Biography
Dr Reinskje Talhout is an experienced researcher in the field of reinforcing harmful products, such as tobacco and nicotine products, drugs, alcohol, and energy drinks. She currently works as a leading expert and heads the WHO Collaborating Centre on Tobacco Product Regulation and Control at the RIVM (National Institute for Public Health and the Environment). She also works one day a week at Wageningen University & Research.
She is committed to protecting the health and well-being of the public. Reducing the appeal of reinforcing harmful products to consumers plays a key role in this. Consumers often use multiple such products simultaneously as part of an unhealthy lifestyle.
