Biography

Biography

After completing my bachelor's degree in Environmental Geoscience at the University of Bristol (UK), I pursued a master's degree in Earth and Environment with a specialisation in soil biology and chemistry at Wageningen University.

I then completed my PhD research in the soil biology group at Wageningen University & Research (WUR). My PhD research focused on the effect of cover crop mixtures on the soil carbon and nitrogen cycle. The majority of my research focussed on the study of soil nitrogen pools and nitrate leaching as well as the study of different soil carbon fractions in a long term field experiment.

In my current role, I mainly focus on the nitrogen cycle in the soil. I am mostly involved in projects where we investigate the effects of various agricultural measures to reduce nitrous oxide emissions. My work primarily involves coordinating laboratory, greenhouse, and field experiments, where we measure nitrous oxide emissions, determine emission factors, and analyse soil quality.
