Biography
I work as an assistant professor at the Hydrology and Environmental Hydraulics (HWM) group with main research interests in flood statistics and flood processes.
My core research vision lies in the combination of stochastic and deterministic modelling, to enhance knowledge on flood-generating processes and their uncertainty. I also focus on the other extreme in the hydrological cycle: low flow and droughts. Here, I make use of process stratification and mixture models.
I am mainly involved in the courses "Water Systems: Analysis", "Environmental Data Collection and Analysis", "Catchment and Climate Hydrology" and the European Course on Environmental Management.
