After finishing my PhD research in population biology at the UvA, I started working at WMR. I started with data analysis, statistics and fishing models in salt water. Currently my main tasks are project manager for eel and recreational fishing. I am also active in the ICES working group eel (WGEEL), which gives advice on the European eel stock, and the recreational fishing working group (WGRFS).
