I am a molecular geneticist focusing on plant pathogen interactions (h-index 34; >19,000 citations) with over 25 years of experience. Together with Master, PhD students and (visiting) scientists from Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin-America I conduct fundamental and strategic research to understand plant pathogens and improve plant pathogen diagnostics. We use the latest technology such as single molecule sequencing, Digital Phenotyping and satellite images as well as state of the art analysis and data visualization tools.
