Biography
MSc Environmental Science (1986) and PhD (2001) at Wageningen University. Broad interest in ecology of small waterbodies, with emphasis on macroinvertebrates and macrophytes. Interested in research dealing with multiple stress in complex systems, resilience and safe operating space. Experienced in developing and performing (lab) experiments, handling and analysing large complex datasets (multivariate analyses). Involved in citizen science projects. Lecturer in various BSc and MSc courses and supervisor of BSc and MSc thesis/internship students.. As of 1/10/2015 appointed Associate Professor.
