Biography

Gert Jan Veldwisch is an academic in the field of irrigation and development. He is active in education, research and project management. He enjoys interactive teaching and developing problem-based education, aims to conduct (action) research that contributes to a more just world and is an enthusiastic project manager that is output oriented on basis of team efforts. Thematically Gert Jan is interested in participatory irrigation development, irrigation and agrarian change and issues around water justice, amongst others. Currently he works mostly in Southern and Eastern Africa, but previously he has also worked in Latin America and Central Asia.
