dr.ir. J (Hans) Kros

Hans Kros is senior researcher in the field of environmental science and soil quality with a focus on (soil)acidification, nutrient cycling and greenhouse gas emissions in (semi) natural terrestrial ecosystems. My specific interest is the development and application of terrestrial biogeochemical models ranging from plot scale models to models applicable at a national scale, with special reference to the relation between agricultural management and the emissions of nutrients and greenhouse gasses to soil, water and atmosphere. For several provinces in the Netherlands I studied the interaction between livestock production and the surrounding nature sites.
