dr.ir. PA (Paul) Roncken

Paul A. Roncken (NL, 1972) is a landscape architect, scientist, teacher and design critic. He graduated at the Wageningen University (BSc 1992, MSc 1996, PhD 2018). He is the managing director of the NatureCollege Foundation (here) and holds a part-time position as the independent advisor for spatial quality for the province of Utrecht (2016-2023, here). His research is focussed on the relationship between aesthetics, design and the perception of meaning in all types of landscapes (urban, rural, natural, digital, artistic). He is author of numerous articles and book chapters and invited speaker for academic, political and practice related events (research and website).
